Elizabeth Jane Hurley, an English actress and model who became famous in the 90s as Hugh Grant's lover was an ex- English model. When Grant's film Four Weddings and a Funeral was the focus of worldwide public attention, Hurley accompanied Grant to the film's Los Angeles premiere wearing a black Versace gown with gold safety pins. This instantly gained her media recognition. Hurley's relationship in the company of Estee Lauder, a cosmetics maker, has been seen as a defining moment in her professional life. Hurley was hired by Estee Lauder to be their first model in the age of 29. From 1995 onwards, she has been employed as a face in the products of the company like Sensuous Intuition & Pleasures. Vanessa Kensington was her most famous character as a character in Mike Myers hit spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me(1999). Hurley is an actress and designer of the eponymous Beachwear Line. Perry's attempts to gain popular recognition were unsuccessful. Before any new material could be released the two major labels signed but then were able to drop Perry. Capitol Records however released Perry's EP Ur So Gay in 2007. Ur So Gay's title track was a jolly and sly song that attracted minimal interest. I kissed a Girl - an ode to sexual curiosity released several months after. The track featured a raunchy electro-pop sound, and had a strong stance. Some critics accused the song as a sly reference to homosexuality, while others claimed the song's sexually explicit lyrics were designed to attract men with fantasies. I Kissed a Girl was a smash hit for Perry's album The One of the Boys in 2008 because of the mixture of excitement and melody. Its bouncy, sharp-tongued and bouncy song, the second Hot N Cold also proving well-loved, the album which Perry composed herself, eventually saw sales of more than three million copies within the United States.
